  • Brief Description:

    In this INTI Bachelor of Mass Communication (Hons) programme; students are taught to understand the characteristics and intricacies of the media and society in order to convey messages effectively; aided by critical thinking skills. They will master skills such as developing key messages and writing news releases in a dynamic manner. As a potential public relations or advertising specialist; students will be empowered with the knowledge to put into practice innovative strategies for building and promoting the brand of any company.

    Those who choose to pursue a degree in Mass Communication can expect to develop persuasive and creative skills and strengthen their capability for critical and analytical thinking while emphasising professional standards.

    The SEGi University Bachelor of Mass Communication (Hons) programme provide students with a solid foundation in the basic knowledge and skills necessary to become media practitioners and more informed media consumers. This programme prepares students to view the media industry as a business entity, teaching them the technical aspects of mass media while also understanding how the media industry functions as business.
     
    Students will develop specialised knowledge in the areas of television/video, news and current affairs production, print, radio and TV journalism, and desktop and on-line publishing.
