The Multimedia University (MMU) Faculty of Engineering offers a four-year Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) Electrical programme.
Students taking this programme are required to study basic circuit theory and field theory, basic electronics, computer programming, logic design, machine and power system, microprocessor system, communications, electrical installation, instrumentation system and control theory, electromagnetic theory, power generation, transmission and distribution, power quality and renewable energy sources as well as subjects on signal processing, multimedia technology and robotics.
Building a good foundation in engineering mathematics is also emphasised in the programme to better prepare the students for future professional engineering careers. In addition, students will also be exposed to studies in basic economics, accounting and management, law and contract, moral and professional ethics, technical report writing as well as effective technical communications.
In their final year, the students are required to work on graduation projects and are also placed in factories and technical companies for industrial training. This will not only expose the students to the real engineering working environment but will also enhance the ability of the student in research work and industrial experience.

All engineering degrees awarded by the MMU Faculty of Engineering are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Council of Malaysia and the Board of Engineers; Malaysia. Furthermore, Malaysia is a signatory of the Washington Accord. Hence, MMU engineering graduates are recognised and able to work at the signatory countries such as Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Ireland, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Taiwan, UK and USA.
