Kuala Lumpur Infrastructure University College (KLIUC) Profile Green Campus

Kuala Lumpur Infrastructure University College (KLIUC) which was established in 1998, is the focus of Kumpulan Ikram's tertiary education activities. Guided by our motto, "For Knowledge, For Humanity", we aim to produce graduates with outstanding technological, communication and managerial skills, as well as to be imbued with high moral values to meet the challenges of Vision 2020 and the K-economy.

Enhanced with up-to-date academic facilities, and tutored by highly qualified lecturers among whom are industry practitioners, KLIUC strives to ensure high quality education in areas of Engineering, Business, Communication, Language Studies, Architecture, Biotechnology, Geomatic Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Information Technology and many more. KLIUC is  recognized for its quality management system and has achieved  ISO 9001:2008 certification.

History of KLIUC

1997

Kuala Lumpur Infrastructure University College (KLIUC) Profile JKR 1997
The Research and Training Institute of the Public Works Department, Malaysia (IKRAM) was privatized and known as Kumpulan Ikram Sdn Bhd (KISB). KISB inherited Ikram Park and IKRAM's distinctive features and strengths.

1998

Kuala Lumpur Infrastructure University College (KLIUC) Profile Kolej Ikram
Ikram College was established and made the focus of KISB's tertiary education activities.

2001

Ikram College changed its name to Ikram College of Technology (iCT) to further strengthen its niche in the provision of technology and infrastructure based programmes.

2003

Kuala Lumpur Infrastructure University College (KLIUC) Profile

On 13 September 2003, iCT was upgraded to a University College status, and is now known as KUALA LUMPUR INFRASTRUCTURE UNIVERSITY COLLEGE (KLIUC).

To date, 24 of our programmes offered have received full accreditation from the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA), formerly known as the National Accreditation Board (LAN). New programmes offered have also been approved by the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia (MOHE) while others have received provisional accreditation from MQA.

Kuala Lumpur Infrastructure University College Library functions as an information and resource centre for KLIUC, as well as the wider IKRAM community. The Library provides access to both print and electronic information resources, and assists users in their studies, training, research, and personal development. The main objective of the Library is to give good quality services to its users.
The Library is located on the top floor of Block 2. It is divided into two sections. The main section contains the Library’s book and journal collections, service counter, and quiet study and discussion space; the other section contains additional discussion space for students.  The main Library area also contains fifty internet-linked computers, and provides wireless hotspot access for laptop users.

KLIUC provides accommodation placement services to all students who receive an academic offer. There are several accommodation options for the students to consider and the emphasis here is on the students' comfort and convenience.

Blocks F and G
Staying on the campus grounds, within walking distance from the classrooms and other amenities, is a plus factor for students. There are two blocks of hostel rooms available at KLIUC ranging from single to quad sharing on a 'first come, first served' basis. The hostels are 'just a two (2) minute stroll away' from the KLIUC academic blocks, cafeteria and other campus amenities. Each room is furnished with beds and mattresses, wardrobes, a fan, study desks and chairs, book racks and curtains. KLIUC provides a 24-hour security service. Wardens regularly patrol the campus grounds to ensure the safety of students. Students may also take advantage of the facilities like the laundry service, cafeterias, and a mini mart, which are located conveniently on the campus grounds. Maintenance services are also available upon request. To ensure a high level of cleanliness, the hostel compounds are well maintained. Students are free to leave the campus grounds at anytime when they have no classes, but must be back before 11 pm. For safety reasons, students are encouraged to abide by the campus rules and regulations, at all times. Visiting time is from 8am to 8pm daily.

Ikram Lodge

Apart from the hostel accommodation services, Ikram Lodge is another choice for students' accommodation, It is situated just five (5) minutes walk from KLIUC academic blocks. Vacancies are on first-come-first-served basis.

Each room at the Ikram Lodge is fully furnished and comes with attached bathroom with heater, television, refrigerator, study table and chair.

Monthly rental for per student is RM400 per month on a twin-sharing basis.

Apart from the hostels and Ikram Lodge, KLIUC also provides condominium accommodation services, which is located at the Unipark Suria Condominiums. Students can either rent rooms or rent the whole condominium unit and share amongst their friends.
Unipark Suria Condominiums are within walking distance from the academic blocks and other campus amenities. All residents have access to the recreational facilities like the swimming & wading pools, tennis court and gymnasium. The condominium is also protected by a 24-hour gated and guarded security.
