Kuala Lumpur Infrastructure University College (KLIUC) - An Overview

Kuala Lumpur Infrastructure University College (KLIUC) which was established in 1998, is the focus of Kumpulan Ikram's tertiary education activities. Guided by our motto, "For Knowledge, For Humanity", we aim to produce graduates with outstanding technological, communication and managerial skills, as well as to be imbued with high moral values to meet the challenges of Vision 2020 and the K-economy.
Enhanced with up-to-date academic facilities, and tutored by highly qualified lecturers among whom are industry practitioners, KLIUC strives to ensure high quality education in areas of Engineering, Business, Communication, Language Studies, Architecture, Biotechnology, Geomatic Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Information Technology and many more. KLIUC is recognized for its quality management system and has achieved ISO 9001:2008 certification.
History of KLIUC
1997

The Research and Training Institute of the Public Works Department, Malaysia (IKRAM) was privatized and known as Kumpulan Ikram Sdn Bhd (KISB). KISB inherited Ikram Park and IKRAM's distinctive features and strengths.
1998

Ikram College was established and made the focus of KISB's tertiary education activities.
2001
Ikram College changed its name to Ikram College of Technology (iCT) to further strengthen its niche in the provision of technology and infrastructure based programmes.
2003

On 13 September 2003, iCT was upgraded to a University College status, and is now known as KUALA LUMPUR INFRASTRUCTURE UNIVERSITY COLLEGE (KLIUC).

Facilities
Kuala Lumpur Infrastructure University College (KLIUC)
Kuala Lumpur Infrastructure University College Library functions as an information and resource centre for KLIUC, as well as the wider IKRAM community. The Library provides access to both print and electronic information resources, and assists users in their studies, training, research, and personal development. The main objective of the Library is to give good quality services to its users.
The Library is located on the top floor of Block 2. It is divided into two sections. The main section contains the Library’s book and journal collections, service counter, and quiet study and discussion space; the other section contains additional discussion space for students. The main Library area also contains fifty internet-linked computers, and provides wireless hotspot access for laptop users.

Apart from the hostel accommodation services, Ikram Lodge is another choice for students' accommodation, It is situated just five (5) minutes walk from KLIUC academic blocks. Vacancies are on first-come-first-served basis.
Each room at the Ikram Lodge is fully furnished and comes with attached bathroom with heater, television, refrigerator, study table and chair.
Monthly rental for per student is RM400 per month on a twin-sharing basis.
