Overview

The Legend International College of Hospitality & Tourism, or better known as LICHT, is a subsidiary of Metroplex Holdings Sdn. Bhd., which also owns The Grand Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur.

LICHT was established in 1997 in line with the corporate vision to meet the increasing demand for skilled work force in the hospitality and tourism industry. Its objective is to provide quality education, research, offering training and consultancy for both local and international students. The college maintains a high level of education in a modern and conducive environment, offering training facilities supported by highly qualified and skilled staff. Its lecturers are professionals from the industry with vast experience and knowledge and are qualified in their relevant fields and holding  Bachelors’ Degree or Masters in the related fields of Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary Arts.

LICHT has been awarded full accreditation by the Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA) and is approved by the Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia. It offers Diploma courses in Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary Arts. The College has also been conducting short courses for Tentera Laut Di Raja Malaysia (TLDM) and American Eagle Tanker (AET) since 2004.

To date, the college has more than 700 graduates from various countries including China, Philippines, Indonesia, Japan, Vietnam, Brunei, Thailand, Myanmar, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Oman, Africa, Mongolia, Holland, Sri Lanka, Iran, Nepal, Cyprus, and Zimbabwe.

The College also offers  employement opportunities and competitive remuneration packages to graduates of the college, subject to required certain condition being met, within the Grand Seasons group of hotels.

The role of the Student Affairs Department is to provide students the necessary information, guidance, support and pastoral care in order for students to adapt successfully in the college and make the college an interesting learning environment.

Accommodation

Accommodation

Legend Internationl College of Hospitality & Tourism provides accommodation with reasonable rental charges. However, students are given the option of outside accommodation nearby will be arranged.

The accommodation is located conveniently with 2 minutes walking distance only. The college is conveniently located at Grand Seasons Hotel, Kuala Lumpur in the city centre, and it is easily accessible  via public transportation such as the STAR-LRT and Monorail.
