Taylor's College - An Overview

Taylor's College takes another positive step forward in being the centre of excellence for Pre-University studies in the region with its state-of-the-art Sri Hartamas campus. Established in 2008, the campus sits on a 80,000 sq. ft. site close to Damansara Heights and is about 30km from the heart of Kuala Lumpur city. As Taylor's first campus in Kuala Lumpur, it is set to emulate the strength of Taylor's established campuses across Klang valley, which are renowned for their long-standing heritage of academic excellence, learning methodologies and dedicated academy facilities

Enhanced capacity and courses

In many ways, the new campus is a response to the steady increase in student numbers since Taylor's inception in 1969.

With the capacity to accommodate approximately 800 students, the Sri Hartamas campus is currently housing the Cambridge A Level (CAL), South Australian Matriculation (SAM) and International Baccalaureate Diploma programmes.

Facilities and accessibility
Dato' Loy Teik Ngan, Managing Director of Taylor's Education Group has expressed that the setting of the campus - which was built at an approximate cost of RM6 million - was designed for the young and smart generation in mind. It is built to be a conducive environment for creative and independent learning.

For example, the entire campus has Wi-Fi access, which is aimed at allowing students to use digital methods of learning. The Tan Sri Loy Hean Hong Library IV also features an open discussion area filled with modern, comfortable sofas to promote productive and open thinking as well as to encourage the flow of creative juices.

Other facilities include a student lounge, lecture theatres, ICT and physical resources department, multipurpose areas, science laboratories, discussion rooms, an extra-curricular centre, counselling rooms, examination unit and surau, which are spread over three floors.

For the convenience of students, the campus is accessible via bus and rail links while residential accommodation is available around the campus.
