The Taylor's University Bachelor of Pharmacy (Hons) incorporate scientific, clinical and professional knowledge with communications skills to produce outstanding pharmacists who are able to positively impact the healthcare system.
The curriculum provides an in-depth foundation in pharmaceutical sciences, physiology and pharmacy practice. Students will enjoy various learning methods, from problem-based learning to workshops and laboratory work, as well as be exposed to a variety of clinical experience.
The central focus of the Taylor's University Bachelor of Pharmacy programme is on the patient in terms of the application of knowledge of the pharmaceutical sciences, covering four main themes i.e.
* Phamacology - study of how drugs work in living organisms and how the body works in health and disease
* Medicinal Chemistry - the molecular properties of drugs and how to develop safe and effective drugs
* Drug Delivery - design, manufacture, evaluation and stability of pharmaceutical products such as tablets, cream, etc
* Pharmacy Practice - development of pharmacists' professional roles
